The Antifan Girlfriend

It’s now 2089, several decades after civil war has divided America into a blue socialist dictatorship on the coasts, and the still-free red flyover country. The woke Diversity Justice Republic, a vassal state of China, uses a social credit system that doles out preferential access to food, housing, vacations, and transportation. High-credit elites live in luxury, while low-credit types live in dormitories and scramble for crumbs. “Plores”, or Deplorables, are segregated from Crediteers and are forced to do menial work to survive. Gun ownership and Christian preaching are now capital crimes. The American culture that we have known is gone.

Malia is illegally reading the dangerous old books she safeguards from the public as a librarian. She stumbles into a relationship with David, a powerful Antifan Defense Forces commander, whose own Deplorable background distances him from the woke culture. The Antifans push Malia into the orbit of sinister bureaucrats conducting lethal experiments on low Social Crediteers under direction from Beijing, even as they try to separate her from David.

This novel comes at precisely the right moment as we figure out what 2020 means for the future. The Antifan Girlfriend shows you what will happen after the left has used the pandemic to destroy freedom: Political polarization erupts into civil war, the Green New Deal is used by elites to grab stuff for themselves, pagan Earth Mother religion replaces Judeo-Christian traditions, and the US surrenders its status as a world power.

Reviews:

  • I loved this book for several reasons. It had all the elements I look for in a good storyline - that which brings out a myriad of emotions - that which not only entertains, but makes me think, reflect and feel grateful for my life.
I felt the Narrator did an outstanding job in bringing each character to life. Each character was uniquely distinctive, never leaving me guessing which character was speaking. The story never got slow moving, which is another thing I look for in a good book. I felt like I was right there!

  • Loved this book and absolutely loved the narrator!! His voices for the different characters were fantastic and I knew exactly who was talking before being told! Brought this story to life so wonderfully, I couldn't stop listening.. I want more from both this author and narrator!!

Reviews:

  • I hated for it to end! Loved all the back stories. The narrator did an amazing job of portraying all of the different characters! This story really kept my attention. I listened to it every time I had a spare moment. I highly recommend this book and any books narrated by Scott Ellis.

  • If there were a test to determine if an audio book voice talent had their skills honed, this book may be the study guide. Wide range of voices? Scott has them. A sense of drama? Check. Add an easy to listen to and understandable voice and speech. Yep...

  • This is book 2 in "Andrew Brush" series. I didn't read the first book, so I'm not sure if it would of set this one up. There was plenty of action, suspense, evil humor and much much more. I did feel like there were too many characters to keep straight. The ending was a cliffhanger, so now I have to get ahold of the next book! The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Scott Ellis added a lot of excitement to the storytelling.

Cynthia & Dan: Cyber War

Reviews:

  • This book was a treat. Awesome disaster thriller book. Really enjoyed the story and the characters, the savants were awesome. Lots of drama with a good bit of political drama. Which was unexpected. Seems like it was pretty well researched. No clue if the science is accurate but it seemed to make sense. As always I really hate it when religion is brought up but it wasn't to much so I wasn't bothered to much.
The narrator did a really good job. Great performance.

  • It took me a couple of chapters to really get interested the story. It just didn’t pull me in at first. Once it did though I listened to it in one sitting. It is actually a very entertaining, engaging and interesting story. Great characters coupled with an intriguing plotline equals a really darn good book. Definitely worth your time.

  • Scott Ellis did a good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Really good character voices. Clearly spoken with great delivery. He was able to bring the characters to life, especially the Savants. All around a very enjoyable listen.

Acoustic Shadows

A thriller that will take you on a heart-pounding, pulse-racing rollercoaster ride. Perfect for fans of James Patterson and Lee Child.

Wounded and running for her life, she must learn to trust the only person who can help her, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Agent Justin Thiery.

But Thiery has his own personal demons to overcome if he is to save Erica and find redemption for himself.

  • Review:

    • The narrator gives a very good performance with unique voices for each character. This is a fast paced story that benefits from Ellis' style.

    • This is the third or fourth audio book I've listened to utilizing Scott's talents. He is blessed with the ability to get the author's story across to his audience. Very listenable, a large range of believable voices. He develops excitement and drama appropriate to the books he chooses to interpret. Bottom line, he's very good at his chosen field!

    • To say that this story is one of constant action is almost to underestimate the fast paced excitement. But unlike many action thrillers which simply move swiftly from one incident filled scene to the next, Patrick Hendrick manages to infuse his various characters with solid, three dimensional life. This, of course, makes each harrowing attack, whether psychological or physical, that they endure so much more poignant and involving… The excellent characterizations are further enhanced by Scott Ellis's masterful performance. His voicing of each one is individual, distinct and pertinent to the person concerned. Hard to believe, sometimes, that this isn't a full cast but that he alone is reading

This thrilling conclusion to The Whistleblower Saga jumps back in time 20 years to show you how it all began.... and the answers will surprise you!

Reviews:

  • The Whistleblower Trilogy is wonderful but leaves the reader with certain questions. This book, a complete stand alone thriller in it's own right, addresses these queries and provides a far deeper understanding of the characters involved. The author has been clever in giving us this prequel after the original series as, if read first, much of the mysteriousness of the earlier books would be lost. So potential readers/ listeners beware: do not read this until afterwards.

  • This is a good thriller, lots of action, well written dialogue and all is beautifully performed, as he always does, by the narrator, Scott Ellis. All of his voicings of individual characters, male and female, are distinctively different and appropriate and the text is read clearly, perfectly paced, with just the right tonal touch of emotion. He is a pleasure to hear: that the story is a good one is a bonus

  • Author Jim Heskett turns the clock back 20 years in this prequel to the Whistleblower trilogy. Tucker Candle is 12 years old and oblivious to the troublesome events set into motion by the man he believes to be his father. Tucker's mother will also find herself embroiled in the mess as she fights to ensure the safety of her son. A secret love affair and some surprising twists make this installment an exciting conclusion to the Whistleblower series.
Well written with a dash of humor, and superbly narrated by Scott Ellis, Strike the Match was an enjoyable listen.

What happens when the elder Monroes learn the truth about their son Sammy's poor choices?

Soon, the couple is beset with more problems. Mary Beth's sorority sister disappears causing a county wide search. Hope remains alive that she will return unharmed from her ill-fated liaison.

While this story is suitable for all ages, it contains enough mystery, intrigue, and romance to suit any listener. Once again, the popular narrator Scott Ellis brings the story to life with his skillful reading.
