The heart of this project is a simple yet powerful idea: capturing the voices of our loved ones as they share their stories. While photos and videos preserve images and moments, it’s often the sound of someone’s voice that brings memories to life. We hear time and again, “I just wish I could hear my mom’s voice again.”
Having produced over 250 audiobooks, we’re confident in our ability to help people tell their stories with high-quality audio — even if they’re not professional narrators or authors. We seek to serve individuals with rich histories, personal experiences, and meaningful memories to share.
We offer two simple approaches. Some participants may prefer to answer guided questions about their lives, while others are natural storytellers who don’t need prompts at all. Either way, we support them through the process.
Here is a sample from one of our clients, Peggy, who wrote and recorded her own memoir. She’s not a trained voice artist — just a mother who wanted her children to know her story. She provided photos to match specific moments, and we wove them into a video that allows her family to hear her voice and see the images that go with it. The final product is hosted on our website, and she was thrilled to be able to share the link with her family.

Professional Editing – Our team will enhance the audio, clean it up for the best sound quality, and integrate it with your submitted photos.
Easy Online Access – We’ll upload the final product to a dedicated page on our website, making it easy for your friends and family to view.
Announce Your Story – You’ll receive a flier to print or email to share the online availability of your story.
How It Works if using our recording device:
Receive Your Recording Kit – Ellis-Audiobooks will send an easy-to-use recording device straight to your home or office.
Setup Assistance – Scott will guide you through setting up the equipment and creating an ideal recording space for high-quality audio.
Record & Return – Once you’ve finished recording, simply turn off the equipment, pack it back in the box, affix the prepaid postage label, and drop it off at your nearest shipping location.
